Shubham currently works as Lead for BioMedIT Research IT services at SIBHis ongoing work involves architecting & offering Trusted Research Environments to the researchers in Switzerland where they can gather & analyse sensitive data responsibly. He specialises in Cloud ComputingHPC & Information Security.+The talk will give an overview of experience gained in over 20 years with the **management of sensitive and personal data in the field of spoken language corpora**. The first part will recapitulate the basic legal and organisational conditions that apply to the work with spoken language corpora. Based on number of case studies from the Archive of Spoken Germanthe second part will then discuss **details of legal agreements and technical implementation of data protection issues** for specific corporaThis includes a demonstration of technological means for de-identifying sensitive data in audiovideo and transcripts.

After studying in Kaiserslautern, Mainz, Edinburgh, Berlin and Paris and obtaining his PhD from the University of Dortmund, he worked as a researcher at the University of Hamburg, the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Science, the Institute of the German Language and the University of Basel. For ten years, he was head of the Archive for Spoken German. He is now working as an independent consultant and software developer at [[http://linguisticbits.de|LinguisticBits]].
