CLARIN at the SSH Open Marketplace Training Series: language data session on 16 October

On Friday 16 October, the SSH Open Marketplace 2026 Training Series turns to language data. Cristina Grisot (CLARIN-CH National Coordinator) presents part of the session, which shows researchers how to find, manage, and share language resources through the Marketplace. The workshop runs online from 13:00 to 14:30.

A series across the SSH disciplines

The SSH Open Marketplace Editorial Board runs a series of eight online workshops through 2026 to strengthen FAIR and digital research skills. Each session is hosted on the third Friday of the month and introduces the Marketplace as a discovery portal for tools, services, datasets, workflows, and training materials across the social sciences and humanities.

The language data session

The 16 October workshop is the thematic session on language data, which is where CLARIN’s expertise comes in. Cristina Grisot, CLARIN-CH National Coordinator, presents part of the session. It covers:

  • CLARIN services and standards for managing and analysing language data
  • FAIR and legal or ethical challenges specific to language data, including sensitive and personal data
  • Using the SSH Open Marketplace to discover language resources, tools, and workflows
  • Integrating CLARIN tools into linguistic research workflows
  • Preparing and documenting language datasets for reuse within national and European infrastructures

Practical details

The workshop is online via Zoom, from 13:00 to 14:30 (Paris/Zurich time). Registration covers the whole series, and participants receive the Zoom link after signing up.
