Governance and Coordination
While the national consortium is constituted by the CLARIN-CH member institutions and their representatives, the Executive Board and the CLARIN-CH Coordination Office carry out and manage operations on a day-to-day basis.
CLARIN-CH Executive Board
The operational management of CLARIN-CH is carried out by the Executive Board, which consists of the National Coordinator, the President of the Consortium, the leader of the Data and service centre LiRI, the manager of the repository LaRS and the leader of the K-center :

CLARIN-CH Coordination Office
The Coordination Office represents the operational body of CLARIN-CH: We run the activities of the Consortium on a regular basis and make proposals of activities to the other members of the Consortium. All proposals are discussed and voted during the meetings of the Consortium.
The CLARIN-CH Coordination Office is hosted by the Linguistics Research Infrastructure LiRI and the day-to-day functioning of the national node is ensured by:
Dr. Cristina Grisot
National Coordinator
Cristina manages the day-to-day operations of CLARIN-CH and serves as the primary link between the Swiss node and the European CLARIN ERIC infrastructure. She oversees strategic planning, leads the search for new collaborative opportunities and handles grant coordination. She represents CLARIN-CH in national and European strategic committees, boards and forums, such as SSH Open Marketplace, CLARIN NCF, ESFRI SSH WG, SSHOC-CH Board and Swiss EOSC Forum.
Dr. Joanna Blochowiak
CLARIN-CH Scientific Collaborator
Joanna focuses on project management for initiatives involving CLARIN-CH and contributes to the consortium’s training programs to bridge the gap between scientific research and infrastructure. She represents CLARIN-CH in CLARIN User Involvement Committee, CLARIN Legal and Ethical Issues Committee, and SRDSN Data Governance WG.
Alexandru Craevschi
CLARIN-CH Technical Officer
Alexandru provides direct technical support to researchers, assisting with data conversion, metadata preparation, and the “FAIRification” of linguistic resources. He supports the integration of datasets into the LiRI Corpus Platform (LCP) and other infrastructure components. He represents CLARIN-CH in CLARIN Standards Committee and Technical Centers Committee.
Raffaela Zaugg
Administrative Coordinator at LiRI
Raffaela handles the administrative, financial, and logistical aspects of the coordination office. She ensures the smooth functioning of the consortium’s operational body by managing HR and finances.
Christian Futter
LaRS Manager
Christian manages the Language Repository of Switzerland (LaRS), focusing on the long-term preservation and curation of linguistic data. He supports researchers in depositing their datasets according to FAIR principles and manages the repository’s metadata standards. He represents CLARIN-CH in CLARIN Technical Centers Committee.
Mahdi Rahimizadeh
CLARIN-CH Content Officer
Mahdi manages the communication and outreach activities of the Coordination Office. He oversees CLARIN-CH’s digital presence across the website, newsletter, and LinkedIn, and develops content that makes the infrastructure’s services, events, and training opportunities visible to the Swiss research community. He also produces content for the SSHOC-CH website and social media channels
