International workshop on language and language models (WoLaLa)

The Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics invites you to take part in the first international workshop on language and language models (WoLaLa) taking place in Budapest, Hungary. The workshop shall be an event in which researchers discuss and evaluate large language models in the context of social sciences and humanities (SSH), as well as share best practices advancing research and applications within the linguistic sphere.

The workshop committee invites scholars to put forward extended abstracts as submissions. The relevant topics are: General language models, cultural and linguistic perspectives, applications and best practices, and bridging disciplines. Submissions are accepted until the 30th of June 2025. Researchers that have submitted an entry will be notified of their acceptance by the 15ht of September 2025.
