CLARIN-APPLIED
The Digital Discourse Lab at ZHAW has developed the K-centre CLARIN Knowledge Centre for Applied Comparative Discourse Analysis (CLARIN-APPLIED). It offers expertise in applied discourse analysis, specializing on multilingual corpora and corpora suitable for comparative analysis. The centre postulates five areas of expertise:
- Best practices in applied comparative discourse analysis.
- Access to the Swiss-AL Workbench with various multilingual corpora (German, Italian and French) for discourse analysis.
- Access to documentation of corpora and tools.
- Access to multimodal learning material.
- Curated list of relevant publications and other K-centres and CLARIN resources and tools relevant for comparative discourse analysis.
The centre directs its services mainly at applied linguists working with text data, as well as digital humanists, language professionals and social scientists.
