Call for proposals for LLMs4SSH workshop at LREC 2026

Large Language Models (LLMs) are rapidly evolving in multilinguality, multimodality, reasoning, and agentic capabilities. While these advances have transformed language and data processing, their alignment with the research needs and epistemic values of the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) remains limited.

This full-day workshop will bring together experts in Language Technologies, and SSH to explore how multilingual, multimodal and reasoning LLMs can assist the needs of SSH researchers and their tasks. The primary goal of this workshop is to bridge the gap between advances in LLMs and the specific research needs of the SSH communities. It aims to create a collaborative space where experts in Language Technologies and SSH can exchange knowledge, identify opportunities, and define research priorities at the intersection of these fields.
