CLARIN workshop on NLP and language models for digital humanities @ RANLP 2025

Members of CLARIN are organizing the First Workshop on Natural Language Processing and Language Models for Digital Humanities (LM4DH) which will take place during the conference on Recent Advances in Natural Language Processing (RANLP) in Varna, Bulgaria from the 3rd to the 13th of September 2025. LM4DH will take place during the workshop phase of the conference between the 11th and 13th of September. A call for papers has been published and the committee welcomes submissions in the form of either standard or short research papers.

By inviting scholars from a variety of fields, the workshop is looking to create a collaborative platform exploring the application of AI-driven advances in the digital humanities. It aims to foster innovative methodologies through interdisciplinary dialogue and the exchange of knowledge by researchers, practitioners and students. Promoting best practices and cultivating a research community that dedicates its efforts in computational- as well as human approaches is a main concern of the event.
