Launch of new CLARIN-CH working group

CLARIN-CH is happy to announce the launch of a new Working Group (WG) with the focus on Research Data Management (RDM) for language data. The WG which is led by the convenors: Anita Auer, Carmen Jambé, Alexandru CraevschiGorka Fraga Gonzalez, and Cristina Grisot, aims to strengthen RDM practices across the Swiss linguistic research community. By empowering researchers to manage language data effectively, it meets the evolving demands of academia, funders, and international RDM standards.

The WG has defined six core objectives:

  • Leverage instiutional expertise to develop shared RDM practices.
  • Promote and standardize best practices in RDM.
  • Build skills and advance awareness in RDM.
  • Compare and improve Data Management Plan tools and templates.
  • Foster strategic collaboration and community engagement.
  • Lay the groundwork for a CLARIN-CH Training Programme.

Meeting at the CLARIN-CH Day 2025

The onsite kick-off workshop on October 31, 2025 from 4:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. is collocated with the CLARIN-CH Day 2025 at UNIL.

The kick-off has been fully integrated into the CLARIN-CH Day. All interested colleagues are invited to join the CLARIN-CH Day.
