Share Your Perspective: EOSC EDEN Survey on Research Data Curation and Preservation

The Horizon Europe-funded EOSC EDEN project is inviting researchers and data professionals to contribute to a Europe-wide survey on curation and long-term preservation of research data. Responses are open until 31 August 2026.

The EOSC EDEN project is running a Europe-wide survey to gather insights from researchers and data professionals on how they work with research data, and how repositories and archives support data quality. The results will feed into strategies for curation and long-term preservation of research data across disciplines.

Why your input matters

Your input will help to:

  • Improve and standardise curation and preservation practices
  • Develop services and tools that strengthen digital preservation strategies
  • Enable the reusability of research data
  • Bridge knowledge across disciplines
  • Equip researchers to address central research questions

Who should responde

The survey welcomes contributions from:

  • Researchers who work with data on a daily basis
  • Professionals who manage or curate research data
  • Professionals who work with the technical infrastructure for managing or curating research data

Multiple responses from the same organisation are welcome, and the team encourages participants to share the survey within their professional networks.

The survey takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete and remains open until Monday, 31 August 2026.
