When it comes to Open Research Data, the management of sensitive and personal data as well as dealing with ethical and legal aspects for linguistic data can be very tricky and very challenging.
Recognizing the challenges that Swiss researchers working with linguistic data face, the CLARIN-CH consortium, in partnership with national research infrastructures such as SWISSUbase/LaRS and LiRI, launches a CLARIN-CH working group (WG) Management of sensitive and personal data: Ethical & legal aspects for linguistic data in Switzerland. We would like to invite you to the kick-off event of this national WG, which will take place on September 29th, from 8:30-12:30 on Zoom. The kick-off event will focus on data collection, protection and preservation and their associated procedures, with respect to different types of linguistic data (e.g., multimodal, historical, experimental, sociolinguistics, data from social media, data from different age groups).
