CLARIN-CH Consortium Agreement renewed for 2025-2028

We are pleased to announce that the CLARIN-CH Consortium has successfully renewed its agreement for the period 2025-2028, reinforcing Switzerland’s ongoing commitment to participating in CLARIN ERIC.


All members of the consortium have signed the new agreement: University of Basel, University of Bern, University of Geneva, University of Fribourg, University of Lausanne, University of Neuchâtel, Università della Svizzera Italiana, University of Zurich, Zurich University of Applied Sciences and the Swiss Academy of Human and Social Sciences.


This renewal highlights the strategic importance of Switzerland's involvement in advancing linguistic research and fostering both national and international collaboration. CLARIN-CH enhances accessibility of expertise and resources within the field and connects the Swiss scientific community with broader European research networks, supporting the development of language resources, and promoting Open Science initiatives.

Key objectives for the 2025-2028 period include:

➡️ Obtaining and preserving Switzerland’s full membership in CLARIN ERIC
➡️ Strengthening national and international collaborations
➡️ Fostering the sharing of expertise and resources across the European research community

We look forward to further developing a robust national ecosystem for language data and research infrastructure in Switzerland.
