How to share your language resources?

There are several ways in which you can share your language resources within CLARIN-CH and CLARIN communities:

1. If your corpora can be stored in a sustainable and FAIR-compliant manner at your institution, the metadata can be rendered interoperable with the national and CLARIN metadata system. Your corpora will thus be automatically harvested by the CLARIN catalogue - the Virtual Language Observatory (VLO). Get in touch with us to discuss this aspect. Read more about the CLARIN VLO here.

2. If your corpora cannot be stored in a sustainable manner at your institution, include them in the national Linguistic Corpus Platform developed by LiRI. The LCP has a Python backend API for querying corpora and a frontend that connects to this API providing a graphical interface for linguistic research. The release is planned for autumn 2023. Read more here.

3. Add them on the SSH Open Marketplace, which is a European discovery platform for the Social Sciences and Humanities. The SSH Open Marketplace provides new and contextualised resources for research in SSH: tools, services, training materials, workflows and datasets. Learn more here.

4. Contact us to add them on the CLARIN-CH website and in the CLARIN Resource Families to increase their national and european visibility. The aim of the CLARIN Resource Families initiative is to provide a user-friendly overview per data type of the available language resources in the CLARIN infrastructure. The overviews are meant to facilitate comparative research and the listings are sorted by language. Currently, overviews are available for 15 corpora families, 6 families of lexical resources, and 4 tool families. Discover CLARIN Resource Familiers and learn more here.
